ZAHAV is a boutique watch and jewellery dealer born in Sydney, created for connoisseurs of timeless design and rare craftsmanship. As a new brand entering the highly competitive world of luxury retail, ZAHAV needed an identity that instantly communicated prestige, trust, and exclusivity.

The founders approached KianDesignCo with a vision: to craft a brand that felt elevated yet understated, merging old-world luxury with modern sophistication.

Before pen hit paper, we immersed ourselves in luxury horology and fine jewellery. Our brand strategy aimed to position ZAHAV as:

A curator of rare timepieces and fine adornments

A trusted name among collectors and discerning buyers

A modern brand with timeless values

We focused on creating a visual identity and tone of voice that would stand tall beside international names while maintaining a unique, Sydney-rooted character.

ZAHAV is inspired by the Hebrew word “zahav,” meaning “gold.” The signature-like quality, the name evokes rarity, tradition, and elegance, aligning perfectly with the brand’s curated inventory and timeless values.

The ZAHAV wordmark was carefully constructed using a bespoke serif typeface with refined ligatures and high contrast strokes, evoking heritage, balance, and authority. The letter “Z” was custom-designed to be iconic and ownable, forming the basis for a minimalist monogram. We developed a rich, restrained palette anchored by Obsidian Black, 18k Gold, and Pearl White, capturing luxury and minimalism. These tones carry beautifully across physical and digital touchpoints. A mix of classic serif headers and clean modern body fonts reflects the duality of old-world prestige and contemporary elegance.

From embossed suede-lined watch boxes to matte black paper bags with gold-foil details, every touchpoint of the ZAHAV customer journey was designed to exude luxury and craftsmanship. A limited-edition certificate of authenticity and bespoke polishing cloths added to the brand’s tactile sophistication.

We created a suite of launch visuals, including:

Product photography art direction: Dark, moody lighting with high-contrast textures to showcase each timepiece’s details.

Social media templates: Elegant, restrained layouts featuring product shots, collector insights, and luxury lifestyle cues.

Brand language: Crafted with subtle authority — confident, minimal, and refined.

ZAHAV launched with a brand that seamlessly balances exclusivity with approachability — a trusted name for collectors, first-time buyers, and luxury aficionados alike. The brand’s visual language has become instantly recognisable in Sydney’s high-end watch circles and has set the foundation for future boutique experiences and collaborations.
